Sewol Protests, Abroad
On April 16, 2014 the MV Sewol (세월호 침몰 사고) sank en route from Incheon to Jeju Island, South Korea. Of the 476 passengers – most of them high school students – 304 died. A lacking response from the government and no independent investigation into the accident has led South Koreans to stage protests, also outside of Korea.
Sewol Families Visit to Europe: UK
In May 2016, two parents members of the 4/16 Sewol Families for Truth and Safer Society and two campaigners from the Coalition 4.16 on the Sewol Ferry Disaster travelled to several European countries to highlight their continued struggle in the search of truth and justice. I accompanied them during the three days they spent in the UK.
